Peter Jewett is the Founder and CEO of Accessible Web and bytes.co.

Accessible Web offers a suite of web tools and professional services to help businesses and organizations build and manage accessible websites and web applications. 20% of people live with some sort of disability, many of these people use assistive technologies to browse the web. People that are blind probably use a screen reader, a user that's paralyzed might use a sip-puff device, we've all seen an older person zoom up the text on their mobile device. There is a set of international standards called the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). By building websites that meet WCAG requirements, our clients are able to achieve compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508, Section 504, and other compliance laws. Equally as important, by having an accessible website, they can be confident that users with disabilities will have a barrier-free experience.

Peter founded Bytes.co, originally named Burlington Bytes, in 2010 from a spare bedroom in his home. In the years since, he’s worked to build an exceptional team of 20 employees that serves 400 clients from their two offices in Burlington, VT and Portland, ME. The most exciting and rewarding part of his role has been meeting with businesses around the Northeast, learning about their unique business models, and creating and delivering digital marketing and website solutions that help their businesses grow.
